Part of our mission at CCHC is to promote leadership development among our community. We have several ways people of all ages, giftings, and callings can participate in our work. We hope by participating in our work, our volunteers will be encouraged and strengthened to pursue the Kingdom of God diligently and excellently in their own endeavors.

Volunteer

If you are interested in volunteering with CCHC, there are several ways to get involved:

Public Health Outreach

In addition to our regularly scheduled clinics, CCHC also hosts a number of health events all over the south side during the year. This is part of our goal to be health advocates in our community and promote health education.

The primary way we have done public health outreach is through hosting health fairs in the community. We partner with apartment complexes, schools, and other organizations to provide free health screenings to community members. These screenings typically include blood pressure, blood sugar, and body mass index (BMI), and we have a medical provider on hand to talk with guests about any health concerns they may have. We do this in order to help identify potential health problems in the community and encourage guests to connect with primary care doctors to pursue care.

If you would be interested in hosting a health fair at your southwest OKC business, neighborhood, apartment complex, or school, please contact us.

Gospel Project Medical Track

Every summer Christ Community Church hosts the Gospel Project (GP), a free two-month local missions trip and discipleship program geared toward educating young adults on how to do effective ministry by living in the community they serve, developing a disciplined spiritual life, critically evaluating important theological and cultural works, and learning how to live harmoniously and fruitfully with co-laborers.

One of the available emphases of the Gospel Project is the medical track. In addition to participants doing the normal GP activities like leading Bible studies and hosting outreach events, medical track students help operate our normal clinics, organize health fairs, and study the ins and outs of how to seek the Kingdom of God in the medical community, in their scholastic pursuits, and in mercy ministries.

If you are interested in joining the Gospel Project this summer, visit the Christ Community Church website, learn more about what they do, and submit an application online.

Donate

CCHC is non-profit organization, and we do not charge for any of our services, so we heavily rely on donations to keep our doors open. We have no paid staff members, so 100% of funding goes to operating clinics, promoting public health and education, and investing in indigenous leadership. We would like to ask you to join us in the work God is doing in southwest OKC by partnering with us financially and through prayer.
